PLAN · PLANT · ENJOY

Planting for all year round colour.

Use our planting layouts for the PLT trellis planter, DP70 planter and RT140 trough. Combine evergreen structure with seasonal flowers and spring bulbs.

How to plant your planter

  1. Prepare your planter. Fit a liner if needed and ensure water can drain away.
  2. Add compost. Use a good-quality peat-free compost, with horticultural grit for drainage.
  3. Follow the layout. Position the plants as shown in the top-view plans below. Put star jasmine beside the trellis in the PLT planter and trailing ivy near the edges.
  4. Add spring bulbs. Plant bulbs beneath the permanent planting, following the planting depth on their packaging.
  5. Feed and water. Use slow-release fertiliser according to the pack instructions and water well after planting.
  6. Refresh through the seasons. Keep the permanent plants in place and refresh seasonal flowers three or four times a year.
